I didn’t come to Canada planning to immigrate.
In 2018, I moved from Brazil with the goal of improving my English and gaining international experience. At the time, my career was focused on tourism and hospitality, and I saw this as an opportunity to grow both personally and professionally.
What I didn’t expect was how much that decision would shape my future.
After a few months in Canada, I knew I wanted to stay longer. What began as a temporary experience gradually became a long-term journey — one that took me from international student, to worker, to permanent resident through common-law sponsorship, and eventually to becoming a Canadian citizen.
Because of this, I understand firsthand how complex and emotional the immigration process can be. I have experienced the uncertainty, the planning, and the life-changing decisions that come with building a future in a new country.
My experience in immigration began in 2020, when I started working as a Legal Administrative Assistant in a Vancouver-based immigration firm. In this role, I supported the preparation and submission of a wide range of applications, including study permits, work permits, visitor visas, permanent residence, and citizenship applications. This experience gave me a strong foundation in immigration procedures, documentation requirements, and the importance of accuracy and compliance. I later worked with a non-profit organization supporting newcomers in Canada, where I assisted clients in navigating the Canadian labour market and connecting with employment opportunities. This role allowed me to better understand the challenges newcomers face beyond immigration status — including employment, integration, and long-term settlement. My experience also includes over two years in business immigration within a global professional services environment, where I supported the full lifecycle of immigration applications — from document preparation to submission — working alongside experienced legal professionals in a fast-paced, high-standard environment to ensure accuracy and compliance. This included temporary residence applications (such as work permits and study permits), permanent residence and citizenship processes. This path ultimately led me to establish my own practice.
I completed my Diploma in Immigration and Citizenship Law at Queen’s University and became licensed as a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC-IRB) in April 2025. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and a Master’s degree in Marketing, with academic experience in both Canada and Brazil — which continue to support my client-focused and strategic approach.
My interest in immigration is also deeply connected to my long-standing passion for languages and cultures. Before coming to Canada, I built my career in the hospitality industry in Brazil, where I had the opportunity to interact with people from all over the world. That experience sparked my curiosity about different cultures and the unique journeys that bring people to new countries. Today, I am fluent in Portuguese and English, and I also speak Spanish. I truly value the ability to communicate with clients in different languages and to better understand their backgrounds, perspectives, and goals.
My approach is based on clarity, honesty, and personalized guidance. I understand that every client’s situation is unique, and I take the time to ensure you understand your options, your process, and what to expect at every step. Having gone through the immigration journey myself, I bring not only professional knowledge — but also empathy and real-life perspective.

Even though I will always miss the warmth, culture, and beautiful beaches of Brazil, I have truly built a life that I love in Canada. Today, I live in Burnaby, in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia — the same region where my journey began. This experience allows me to deeply relate to the mix of emotions that comes with moving to a new country: the excitement, the uncertainty, and the hope of building something new.
